eBay is launching an immersive display in London’s West End to highlight private selling and offer a chance to shop pre-loved items across luxury, fashion, home, tech, and toy categories.
Held at Outernet London on November 8 and 9, the Listings in Lights experience will feature a live, shoppable light installation showcasing secondhand items from sellers nationwide. Inspired by holiday gifting, guests can scan QR codes to purchase items directly on eBay.
Sellers can participate by tagging their listings with #ListingsInLights from November 2 to 6, for a chance to have their products featured. This initiative follows eBay’s recent decision to eliminate selling fees for private sellers in the UK across all categories except motors.
Kirsty Keoghan, eBay UK’s general manager, shared: “We removed selling fees to expand inventory options for buyers and simplify the process for sellers. Listings in Lights celebrates this streamlined experience, making it easier for sellers to showcase their items and for buyers to find unique holiday gifts.”
Broadcaster Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv will also join the event, listing items for sale to benefit the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness.
